Strength is for service, not status

 Happy new month amigos πŸ™‹

It's time to eat again πŸ₯£πŸ°πŸ₯ͺ🍝πŸ₯˜πŸ²πŸ₯—πŸ¨πŸŽπŸ‰πŸ˜‹

I was going through the Scriptures today and I found this:

"Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, " How can I help?" Romans 15:1-2 (MSG)

The sentence that struck me is this: Strength is for service, not status.

I have realized that we are in the time where everyone wants to get some form of power or the other. We all want to become leaders in different parastertars of life. One of the allegories of strength is power.

But have we ever taken time to ponder on the question: am I ready to serve?

We attend impartation services expectant to receive strength in one dimension of God or the other, but are we willing to use that strength in service to men. We aspire to become leaders, but are we willing to be servants. The mantle of power is servanthood!

Many seek strength for status; so that I can be known, so that I can be famous, so I can become a force to reckon with, so I can be relevant in life, etc. But who asks for strength so as to serve?

Know this beloved: Strength is made available for men that are ready to serve. If you have been looking for a particular strength in God, and it seems you are not accessing it, check the state of your heart: are you requesting this strength for upgrade of your status or do you have a heart of service to use this strength to build men in Christ according to the grace and faith given to you?

The Psalmist says " search me Lord, and reveal the state of my heart to me."

HmmmπŸ€”

Go to the place of meditation today, with all sincerity and genuinty of heart: Lord, I desire strength, but I need you to reveal the state of my heart to me, and help me.

Remember, great men in the kingdom are the men who serve.

"After Jesus washed their feet, he put out His outer garment back on and returned to His place at the table. "Do you understand what I have just done to you?" He asked. "You call me Teacher and Lord, and it is right that you do so, because it is what I am. I, your Lord and Teacher, have just washed your feet. You, then, should wash one another's feet. I have set an example for you, so that you will do just what I have done for you. I am telling you the truth: slaves are never greater than their master, and messengers are never greater than the one who sent them. Now that you know this truth, how happy you will be if you put it into practice!" John 13:12-17 (GNV)

  1. Anyone who want to be a leader must first serve because the son of God didn't come to be service but to serve others
