Romans 15:1-2 (MSG) The sentence that struck me is this: Strength is for service, not status. I have realized that we are in the time where everyone wants to get some form of power or the other. We all want to become leaders in different parastertars of life. One of the allegories of strength is power.  But have we ever taken time to ponder on the question: am I ready to serve?  We attend impartation services expectant to receive strength in one dimension of God or the other, but are we willing to use that strength in service to men.  I finished my exams that was back to back from Monday to Thursday, two papers in a day. I went to the hostel to change into something less official  before embarking on doing some other things. Then, my roommate showed me a video clip that was viral on the internet about a popular actor who engaged in pedophilic activities with a young girl when she was seven and another episode when she was fourteen years of age.  My heart sank. I went out of the room that day with a heavy heart.  I can also recall an event when my colleagues came back from work and were sharing a pathetic story of how a young girl was raped by one of the guys that lived with herself and her parents. She was brought to the hospital facility for treatment and general body check-up.  Hi amigos 🙋🌝 Happy new month. May we reach greater dimensions of God's presence this new month in Jesus'name. And a big thank you for your support for this blog through reading and sharing.  Now, let's get down to some business. I have experienced dysmenorrhea, I have experienced the pain of my skin being fried with hot oil, I have experienced the pain of lashes from canes, I have experienced the pain of failure, but the most painful experience is the pain of the memories of my late dad. No analgesic could ease the pain, no pacifier could subsidize the pain.  It was an impossible pain. A pain that numbed my emotions, and made me a shadow of myself. I went around with the facade that I was alright, but I was dying gradually inside. No one was able to reach the wall and gain access to the dying me. I have wonderful friends that checked on me and showed me love, they would empathize with me and say soothing words. I would smile and thank them........but it was all a lie....
