What's with this?!

Going through my mails around 3am on Saturday morning, I saw this petition about signing to defund WHO (World Health Organization). 

I was curious, I mean, why anyone want to defund WHO? 

It has been a trusted organization over years that is widely known for its immense contribution in improving the standard of human lives healthwise. WHO is a specialized human agency of the United Nations that is concerned with international public health.

Going down the history lane, it was established on April 7, 1948 and is headquartered in Geneva, Swizterland. In 1967, WHO launched the Special Program for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases. In 1974, the Expanded Program on Immunization and the control program of onchocerciasis was started; an important partnership between FAO, UNDP and the World Bank. In 1986, WHO began it's global program on HIV/AIDs. Two years later, preventing discrimination against sufferers were attended to and in 1996, UNAIDS was formed. In 2000, the Stop TB Partnership was created along with UN's formulation of the Millennium Development Goals.

It's first priorities were to control:

The spread of malaria, tuberculosis and STIs

Improve maternal and child health

Nutrition

Environmental hygiene

You’d recall that at the peak of  Corona pandemic, the US president, Donald Trump declared that the US would stop funding WHO.

" The decision is harsh and barbaric,” you would think; I thought so too. But after reading this post, you might want to do a rethink.

If you turn on your TV or go on the social media, some politicians and the media are attempting to discredit the decision of the United States president to defund WHO even in the midst of Corvid-19 terror.

But that’s not the whole story…..

A defund WHO movement started when President Donald Trump announced that his administration will stop its funding of WHO after Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyus ( director general of the organization who has a record for aggressively supporting abortion) showed eagerness to accept and spread Communist China’s false Coronavirus propaganda. 

In addition to this, WHO has involved itself in some controversial issues such as:

Lobbying countries to legalize abortion

Partner with Planned Parenthood and other abortion activists

Support the legalization of commercial sex workers

Coerce doctors to perform sex reassignment surgery on children

Promoting abortion as a human right! Incredibly hilarious for an organization that was intented to help save lives

That’s not all. WHO has introduced comprehensive sexuality education for children. That’s ok, you’d say, but what education entails creation and support a curriculum that teaches masturbation to children from ages 0-4! 

If public fund is being used to promote these things, then I think it's utterly despicable!

Imagine your sweet little cousin of 5 years old being taught how to masturbate in school, and subsequently practicing it at home. It is devastating! The internet is enough bother for these things, and now they are being brought to the classrooms?!

I may not be a politician, but I refuse to be neutral on these matters: legalization of abortion, comprehensive sexuality education that is morally and ethically incorrect, and lobbying countries to pass bills legalizing abortion.

Remembering the words of Jesus in Matthew 12:30: "This is war, and there is no neutral ground. If you're not on my side, you're the enemy; if you're not helping, you're making things worse."

We can actively participate in signing petitions against passing abortion legalization bills, unrefined and unethical sexuality education, legalization of commercial sex work(prostitution) and getting others involved on the social media as much as possible. 

Remember, the future starts now! If nothing is done now, the situation may NEVER be rectified again.

If defunding WHO will bring it back to it's senses to  appropriately address the purposes for which it was established in the first place, then, so be it.
