What's your choice?.......
Hey lovely people.
How has the week been?
We are going to have a picnic today. So get your cutleries ready and be ready to feast. Bon appetitπ
"When the Woman saw that the tree looked like good eating and realized what she would get out of it- she'd know everything!-she took and ate the fruit and then gave some to her husband and he ate." Gen 3:6 MSG
Everyday, either consciously or in subconsciousness, we make choices. You are reading this post because it's your choice.
Yesterday morning, I decided to wear a white T-shirt and a knitted skirt with a pair of gold sandals. I kept my Afro hair down in loose twists and applied some lipstick on my lips; ready for the day. I made the choice of how to dress. Same goes for today; I'll have to make the choice of what to wear, what to eat and where I'd like to go.
Atimes, we make choices after some deliberations, other times, they are made spontaneously. Either way, we still end up making one choice or the other.
God has given us the luxury of making our own choices. He doesn't force His will on us. In the text used today, Eve was confronted with two options: to trust and obey God with a simple heart, or to take the devil's advice for a change- to satisfy her curiosity and become like God.
The moment we start craving for things in contrast to God's choice for us, then, we are asking for trouble. Eve made a choice based on what she saw and heard from the devil, and not what God said. There are things that are alluring, endearing, enticing, beautiful to behold, sweet to hear, pride to be owned.......but remember, not all things that glitters are gold.
" Trust in the Lord with all your heart, never rely on what you think you know. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your path." Proverbs 3:5 GNV
Not all things that are good are godly....not all things that are good edify us.
You know, it's one thing to make a choice out of ignorance, it's another thing to make a deliberate choice in full awareness. But, have it in mind that ignorance is not a license to wrong choices, because the consequences afterwards is oblivious of ignorance.
So, it's safe to be informed!
And you can only get the right information from God; the Source of Truth. And the simple way to do this is to stay with God by listening to His word, reading the Word, and training our spirits to hear His voice.
Let's do a bio-check here.................
Is the guy or babe you're in a love relationship with God's choice for you or something you chose because it seems good to you? Are you where God intends you to settle? Did you migrate to where you are currently with God's consent? Are you involved in some dubious businesses and fraudulent activities because that's the 'easiest' way out of financial crisis?
It's not too late to do a rethink and go for the God-choice. Because that's the best we could ever have.

"..........keep me from stupid sins, from thinking I can take over your work;....." ( extract from Psalm 19: 11-14) MSG.
Eve felt she'd know everything by eating the fruit. That she would be like God, but this had grave consequences on herself, her husband and even her unborn children. Some things are better left unknown; those things that God wouldn't want us to toy with in the first place. For instance, it's better not to have a broken heart by sticking with God right from the start, than having different heartbreaks and being an expert at handling heartbreaks.
Don't try to think you can take over God's work by trying to play God. Eve made the wrong choice of attempting to be God and landed herself in trouble.
