A gaze into the new decade

 How great is our God

2020 has been an eventful year. Corona pandemic, protests, palliatives, to talk of a few. But through it all, God has been faithful. 

If we count our blessings one by one, we'd see that it's needful to be grateful to our loving Father for His goodness, love, kindness, favor, mercies...... I mean, it's just been bliss.

Another year rolls in a some hours time. We've got to be prepared for the coming decade. If you see what I'm seeing, it's definitely a time of great opportunities for the prepared......mentally, emotionally, financially, intellectually, physically...and of course, spiritually. 

In preparation for 2021, a lot of things are needed to be reviewed, replaced or removed.

Yeah, a saying goes that experience is the best teacher, but I stand to say that the Holy Spirit is. Start asking the Holy Spirit how to make and go about your plans for the next year; decade. It's a period of considerable economic setback due to the lockdown, but it's going to be the financial rising of some, among which you can be one. It's going to be a decade of breakthrough for some in the various cosmos of life.

Don't be left out......

Start preparing: every thing actualized in life starts from the heart or the mind. What do you have in mind, what is going on in your heart, what do you see this coming year and decade? Start by clearing all pessimism, begin on a clean slate of optimism. A lot of things might seem impossible, stupid, unattainable. But, never underestimate the power of your mindset. Remember "as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."

Go on a retreat with God: let's ponder a little here: when last have you had a good time alone with God? My dad once gave me an advice: 'don't get busy doing nothing.' You know, a lot of people are busy, busy with things that get them away from God, but at the end of the day produces nothingness. Be wise. Find time to receive from the Source. Go back to the secret place. I'd recommend a book here: 'Secrets of the Secret Place' by Bob Sorge. 

Read wide: knowledge can never be underestimated. "My people perish because they lack knowledge. Get a good book, go online, search out something worthwhile about that thing that burns in your heart. Dig it up! 

Read history: many people get frustrated because they get the same results as the people before them. It's not because they don't have passion, but because they didn't have a good grasp of history; what had been done before, how they've been done, the results they birthed. Knowing history shouldn't be an archaic thing, but rather an effective tool to launch into the future.

Listen to conversations: solitude is good, but isolation can be dangerous. Get to know people's mind concerning that particular thing. Listen to conversations of veterans in that aspect of your passion. Attend seminars, conferences, know what's going on in the world. That way, you'd learn quite a lot of things which could be very helpful.

Don't let opportunity (ies) catch you unprepared. It's not going to be God's fault anymore if He brings opportunities your way this new year(decade) and you are unprepared. 

Another cogent thing is this: 

 'find your conviction'

You can't just remain indifferent, and want to make any significant impact and impart in life. Find your passion, believe your vision, act out your convictions.

Don't be surprised, new trends will emerge this coming decade, I mean solid, and some terrifying. But if you don't have a conviction, you'd follow anything, which is not healthy for you, I mean for anyone who has focus. If you don't stand for something, you'd fall for anything. And a big problem we have in the contemporary time is that there are a lot of choices, which makes decision making quite hard. More reason why it's expedient to be knowledgeable as much as possible. 

Ensure that the Holy Spirit is the back-up for your convictions. Feast upon the Word. Listening to messages is good, but this time around, sit to eat, to digest, to absorb, to reflect, to act out.

Have a blissful, purposeful, adventurous, blessed and eye-opening year and decade in advance.
