Some secrets in the book of Esther: staying beautiful and relevant

If you are reading this as a lady, today's discussion is more for you. Guys, you can also read and get blessed, you'll definitely pick up somethingπŸ™‚

There is a vast variety of beauty models  in the world. From Asians, to Europeans, Hispanics, Africans....; the list is inexhaustible.

But really, where is beauty? It is not a new fact that people can go to any length to maintain their physical beauty- even going under the knife. It is a pointer to the fact that prority is placed on beauty.

Beauty according to the dictionary is the property, quality or state of being pleasing merely by being perceived by the senses. Beauty in the world sense follows a particular pattern of qualities, as portrayed by the  media, such that if care is not taken, you would never love yourself nor like your body.

Esther was a young beautiful woman. The bible did not describe to us exactly she looked like, but it was recorded that she was beautiful and had a good figure.

" Now there was a Jew who lived in the palace complex in Susa. His name was Mordecai the son of Hair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish- a Benjaminite. His ancestors had been taken from Jerusalem with the exiles and carried off with king Jehoiachin of Judah by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon into exile. Mordecai had reared his cousin Hadassah, otherwise known as Esther, since she had no father or mother. The girl had a good figure and a beautiful face. After her parents died, Mordecai had adopted her." Esther 2:5-7  (MSG)

But, Esther needed more than just beauty and figure to get chosen as the queen and to maintain that position as a queen. She needed to to be relevant for that position.

Physical beauty is not enough!

There is more to life than what meets the eye.

Content. Value. God!

I'm pretty sure a lot of maidens would have been brought into the palace from the one hundred and twenty-seven provinces in the kingdom. It's going to be an overflow of eye-catching, breath-taking beauties. And just one person is needed to become the queen.

Something more than physical beauty is needed to attain that position of a queen.

Physical beauty is not to be undermined, yet there is something greater than physical beauty that gets you to your palace and keep you there. There is more for you to invest in than your looks.

Don't just take care of the container, be intentional about and nurture the content!

Nice hair, nice clothes, nice shoes are not bad.... but you need something greater than those to get to your throne.

Get God!

Get Content!

Get Value!

Get relevance!

You must come to the place of understanding of God's purpose for your life. Your life and existence should be the reason why someone smiles and is grateful.

How does your existence touch humanity?

How does your existence bring glory to our Father in heaven?

Until you get to the place where your life is not just centered around and about you, you are still yet to discover purpose. And you cannot be relevant in life until your purpose is known and you take intentional steps as regards it.

Be intentional about your purpose. Get out of your comfort zone. Start doing something beyond you, or what you think you could.

Creation eagerly awaits the manifestation of the sons of God. It is not for the unprepared; we have to be intentional about it!

Invest in your walk with God. Invest in your self-development ( I would say soul development), invest in relationships; now not just your love relationship, but friendships, mentorship....family, invest in your career, invest in people.
