Are you doing it at His 'say-so'?

 Hi guysπŸ™‚

It's been a long time in here😊.

I missed you guysπŸ€—πŸ’—. Sorry for the unannounced little break.

Today, we will be talking about God's command(s) to His children. On many occasions, children of God do not wait for God's command or instruction before delving into a situation. Many times, we complain and grumble and doubt the love of God for us because we meet with defeat in an endeavor. But, have we ever paused to ask: is God asking me to start this or am I engaging in this on God's word? David asked God : should I go? This prayer point I am praying, am I led by God's Spirit to pray it or is it just out of my desire and ambitiousness? Is the decision I am about to take initiated by the Holy Spirit?

Know this beloved: God will not sustain what He did not initiate.

"Then the Lord said to me, 'you have made your way around this hill country long enough, now turn north. Give the people these orders: "You are about to pass through the territory of your relatives the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. They will be afraid if you, but be very careful. Do not provoke them to war, for I will not give you any of their land, not even enough to put your foot on. I have given Esau the hill country of Seir as his own." Deuteronomy 2:2-5 (NIV)

The children of Israel were commanded by God in not to provoke the descendants of Esau ( who live in Seir) to war because He will not give them their ( people of Seir's) land.

It is dangerous to fight a battle that God is not involved in. Imagine how disastrous it will be had it been they ignored the command of God!

Ok, let's use this example: a christian sister is asking the Lord that a particular brother should propose to her, not because she heard a word from God regarding the situation, but because the prayer was born out of ambition and her desire at that particular time. Such christian sister would not get an answer in line with her desire. Why? Her portion is settled with God, it was not necessary to try to take the portion of another.

"The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance." Psalms 16:6 (NIV)

Beloved, get a word from God regarding any situation or decision. Always remember that God cannot be unfaithful to Himself. But pause to ask yourself: what is God's word to me regarding this situation?

Meet you again in the next post. Remember to share and drop your comments. Adios amigosπŸ™‹

Much love πŸ’– from Abba's heart,

Lotus 🌷.
