Guard your heart!

A lot of perverse ideologies is now in vogue. A confused man becomes more confused and a confused Christian becomes either miserable or backslides completely. 

I was at my mother-in-the-Lord's place on Saturday and the TV was on, playing some cartoon shows. Then, a discussion arose that there were a lot of wrong, ungodly and perverse ideologies that are already in the world and are being softly introduced to children through cartoon series via the entertainment industry, and adults are not exceptions too. It is becoming alarming that ungodly things that people could not boldly identify with in times past are now the evolving trends and vogue.

Also, where I worship on Sunday, the man of God that came up was sharing his experience of filling a form where the sexes available were: male, female or undetermined. On the surface it looks harmless enough, but that is the same subtlety the devil used for Eve in the Garden of Eden. 

Beloved, a man that does not stand for something will fall for anything. 

It is important to know the mind of God regarding every trend and vogue. No matter how logical a concept seems, if it does not have it basis in the Word of God is from hell.

" Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)

The heart is central to our soul. Guard your heart, and guard your soul. Guard the contents that your soul consumes: what you watch, what you listen to and what you read. You reflect overtime the contents that your heart consumes.

On many social media pages today, there are a lot of promotion for homosexuality, transgenderism, bisexuality, feminism, abortion, and a lot more others. But beloved, do you know the mind of God regarding these things? And irrespective of the world's view, are you ready to stand with God's view and act it out?

Let me end with this: a toad placed in a pot of slowly heated water will keep adjusting it's temperature until it finally dies. Don't be a Christian that keeps adjusting to the ideologies of the world. Know the mind of God and stand by it. It is impossible to be on the fence, not complacent. Know the mind of God by searching through the scriptures and by His Spirit and act it out.

Strength is for service, not status

 Two days later, Uncle Sola arrived in Lagos, Nigeria. A lot of things were now different from how they were ten years ago when he left. It's quite sad that he was home in the midst of this condition. Had it been his brother was his hale and hearty self,  they would have toured the whole of Lagos together.
