What-confidence??
It's a beautiful evening, so I'll say "good evening". In Yoruba dialect, it means 'Ekaale o'
And I believe you are faring well... thriving.
Let's do some talking.........
It's not uncommon to hear people say "Jesus said we'll do greater things than He did"
Of course, that's very correct as recorded in the Scriptures:
"I am telling you the truth: those who believe in me will do what I do- yes, they will do even greater things, because I am going to the Father." John 14:12 (GNV)
But many times, we seem to forget the condition - "those who believe in me."
Many contemporary Christians today, instead of focusing on God to do it, we focus on ourselves. We tend to have self-confidence rather than God-confidence. When we have God-confidence, we have the assurance that it is not about us, but about God.
When we shift our gaze from God, we focus on ourselves, or the surrounding, and hence it all becomes about 'us' and no more about 'Him'.
Beloved, have you shifted your gaze from God andfocused on self? When we remember that it is 'our belief in Christ that does it, not our struggles, strength or self-righteousness' we become God-confidence and able to do the things He promised we'll do, as He lovingly guides and strengthen us for what He would have us do.
Psalm 115:9-11 (MSG)
But you, Israel: put your trust in God!
-trust your Helper! trust your Ruler!
Clan of Aaron, trust in God
-trust your Helper! trust your Ruler!
You who fear God, trust in God!
-trust your Helper! trust your Ruler!
Isaiah 30:16 (MSG)
Your strength will come from settling down in complete dependence on me -
the very thing you've been unwilling to do.
Luke 8:25 (MSG)
Then he said to his disciples, "Why can't you trust me?"
Don't just read and pass by.......Selah.
Much love from Abba's heart π
