If I didn't have my eyes, what would I do differently?

It's a blessing to be able to see the beautiful sights and wonders of nature; the blue sky, the blue sea, the radiant rainbow, the cute puppy, the brightly colored flowers, the colorful peacock, the dashing young guy and flawless-skinned lady. It's all a bounty of glamour. The eye is a blessing😊 But, here's the irony: the eye is also a potent seductress to wrong decisions and judgement. Let's do some memory exercise here; do you remember any decision you would have avoided or made if you didn't have your eyes? When last did you make a genuine decision or done a genuine act from your heart? There was a time I met with some blind people. I noticed something about them: they were joyful, not necessarily trying to impress people. They just want to express themselves. They are not concerned with what you think of the them, but are content to have people around them and spend time with them. Personally, I have a list of things I would do differently if I didn't have...

Smile, brace up, don't give up!

O man/woman of valour.......... Don't give up. Never give up! Don't lose hope. Don't stop smiling.  Don't stop believing. You may have to pause for reflection, but don't get stuck, don't forget that you have a destination. You have a mandate, there's a goal. Before anything worth while is done, there must be the display of a certain level of determination and confidence. "Be determined, be confident, for I the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."  Joshua 1:9 To permit the active manifestation of some things, there must be active determination and decisions. For every action that manifests, there is an underlying determination. Daniel and his friends were captives who were to serve the king and were to be fed with the king's delicacies. It's a new normal that they feast on what the king himself eats. But................. Daniel determined in his heart. Daniel 1:8 If you do not determine, you may never move forward in life. There...

What do you do: religion or love?

Mi amors, greetings. I hope you've been good?  I had a quite an eventful week, but thanks to God for His faithfulness. It's another privilege to know Abba's 💓 Sit back, relax and let's enjoy today's wonderful piece together. Today, so many of us have things really mixed up; we just do some things without having knowledge of them. Let's have a brief assessment: Why do I do the things II d? What's my knowledge of my Maker? What's my  knowledge of what He wants? Now, it's storytime........ Doeg was one of King Saul's men. And making an inference from what the Bible said about him in 1 Samuel 22:7, he was a religious man. He was active in religion, he went to the temple to pay a religious vow, to God whom he didn't know nor understand His ways. King Saul was jealous of David, and by all means wanted to destroy him. David began to ran away from Saul for his life. David got to the priest's place in the course of his running and asked for somet...

You are what you eat!!

Senor/senorita, can I ask a question? What have you been consuming? There are so many junks we consume in the 21st century. Right from infancy, junks are being introduced to us; purchasing packs of noodles, sugary drinks, sweets and chocolate boxes is already a norm for an average Nigerian toddler. I remember a picture where some kids used packs of noodles to fill the bathtub. I guess they have quite a lot stocked in the house. Adults are not left out. Junks are consumed in large quantities because there's no time to cook and eat nutritious food, not to talk of eating fruits. We have developed the knack of consuming junks: fries, cakes, sweets, chocolates et cetera that we don't really value real food anymore. Maybe  because we are in the jet age where everything is fast, we are inclined to fast foods too. That's on a light note anyway. Someone might think ' nutrition is subjective', but are you being nourished? Physically, as we consume junks, we also consume junk...

What's with this?!

My hearts bleeds as I write this post. Please, try to read this post to the end, if you get bored at the start, go the the later parts.  Going through my mails around 3am on Saturday morning, I saw this petition about signing to defund WHO (World Health Organization).  I was curious, I mean, why anyone want to defund WHO?  It has been a trusted organization over years that is widely known for its immense contribution in improving the standard of human lives healthwise. WHO is a specialized human agency of the United Nations that is concerned with international public health. Going down the history lane, it was established on April 7, 1948 and is headquartered in Geneva, Swizterland. In 1967, WHO launched the Special Program for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases. In 1974, the Expanded Program on Immunization and the control program of onchocerciasis was started; an important partnership between FAO, UNDP and the World Bank. In 1986, WHO began it's global program o...

New month, new......

Hey guys! I want to say happy new month, and Happy Independence Day to all Nigerians. It a little sad that currently, it's more of dependent independence. But whichever way, I believe we look forward to a better Nigeria. And I'm saying a big THANK YOU to all of you for your time; reading the posts, dropping comments, sharing the link. Thanks for your support, it's been very encouraging. God bless you. So, let me drop a little something here: True independence comes from Christ. What you don't have, you can't give. If our leaders over the years are not free themselves, they can't instigate any form of freedom or independence.  "If the Son sets you free, then you will be really free."John 8:36 "Come unto me, all ye that labour, and heavily ladened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 If you've not joined this wonderful family of God, this is an invitation to come on board. It's simple: Acknowledge that you're a sinner Confess ...
